What is the Nonprofit Technology Conference?

Hosted annually by the Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network (NTEN), this event is all about helping nonprofits use technology to advance their mission and better connect with their communities.

The NTC is more than just a conference, it’s a chance to meet other nonprofit professionals, swap ideas, and find fresh inspiration to fuel your work. Whether you’re a tech expert or just starting to explore digital tools, there’s something here for everyone!

The NTC conference 2025 (25NTC) is April 16 – 18, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland, and you can choose to attend in person or online.

If you join the in-person experience, you’ll have access to 141 sessions led by nonprofit tech experts, inspiring keynote speakers, and countless networking opportunities.

Plus, you’ll receive three months of access to virtual session recordings—perfect for revisiting your favorite talks or catching anything you missed.

If attending virtually fits your schedule better, you’ll still receive a great experience with 24 live sessions, keynote speakers, online networking opportunities, and access to the virtual session recordings for three months.

The in-person event costs $675 for NTEN members and $975 for non-members. Virtual tickets run $250 for NTEN members and $450 for non-members.

What is NTEN?

Travel Tips

Getting to 25NTC in Baltimore is easy, whether you’re flying in or traveling by train.

If you’re coming by air, the closest airport is Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Thurgood Marshall Airport. From there, you can grab an Uber or Lyft to the Baltimore Convention Center, which typically takes 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic.

If you prefer public transportation, there are train options from the airport to downtown Baltimore using the Light Rail train system, with travel times ranging from 50 minutes to an hour.

Once you’re in the downtown area, the Charm City Circulator offers a free shuttle bus service around the city.

No matter how you travel, the Baltimore Convention Center is conveniently located and easy to access for your NTC experience!


Where to Stay

NTEN has reserved discounted hotel rooms for conference attendees at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor and the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel. You can book your stay through the official reservation links or by contacting the hotels directly.

If you’re looking for the ultimate convenience, the Hilton is directly connected to the Baltimore Convention Center, so you can walk right into the conference without stepping outside.

The Sheraton is also a short walk away, but you’ll need to enter from the street to access the event. Both hotels offer a comfortable, convenient place to stay while you enjoy everything the NTC has to offer!

If you’re heading to Baltimore for the NTC Conference, why not make a little time to explore the city?

Allissa V. Richardson

Allissa V. Richardson is an assistant professor at USC Annenberg, studying how African Americans use mobile and social media for journalism in times of crisis.

She’s the author of Bearing Witness While Black, which looks at how Black Lives Matter activists used smartphones and Twitter for citizen journalism. A pioneer in mobile journalism, she created the first smartphone-only college newsrooms and won Journalism Educator of the Year in 2012.


Ashley Shew

Ashley Shew is an associate professor at Virginia Tech, focusing on technology, biotech ethics, and disability studies.

She’s the author of Against Technoableism and works on initiatives like the Disability Community Technology Center to support disabled-led technologies. A strong advocate for disability justice, she contributes to journals like Techné and Nature.


Michael Running Wolf

Michael Running Wolf is an AI ethicist and founder of IndigiGenius, focused on helping Indigenous communities gain technological sovereignty and tackle data justice issues.

With a background in computer science and engineering, he advocates for Indigenous knowledge in AI and co-authored the Indigenous Protocol and AI Position Paper. His work has earned several awards, including the Patrick J. McGovern AI for Humanity Prize.
