How to Install a Donorbox Form or Button on Site123
Step 1
If you haven’t already, create your campaign on Donorbox. This detailed blog will help you get started.
Top tip: If you want to add a recurring donation form on Site123, choose up to four different intervals to add to your form from our selection of eight options:
Step 2
Go to your Donorbox campaigns page, and find the campaign you’d like to embed on your site. Click the “Embed Code” button on the campaign box, as shown below:
Step 3
You’ll find yourself on the Share & Embed page.
Here, Donorbox gives you the option to select between two form variations: our Classic Form and our OmniGive™ Donation Form. While both are innovative, we strongly recommend you choose the latter for access to more powerful features.
Next, select how you’d like your form to appear on your Site123 website. There are three embed options to choose from:
A standard embedded form that appears on your Site123 page.
Copy the generated HTML code for whichever option you choose.
Step 5
Now, head over to your Site123 editor. Click on the “Pages” tab on the lefthand sidebar, and click the “Add New Page” button to create your Donate page.
Step 6
Select the first page format option, named “About”.
Step 7
Now that your new page shows up on your page sidebar, we recommend that you change the name from “About” to “Donate”, or something else that is more relevant and appropriate. Then, click the “Edit” button.
Step 8
We recommend that you first remove the default picture present on the page by clicking the red “X” at the bottom of the page editor, or that you replace it with one of your own visuals.
Step 9
Then, paste your donation form embed code in the “Description” text box, and click the green “Save” button.
Step 10
When you return to your page editor, you will see your code written out, instead of an embedded form. But, don’t worry. Simply click the “Edit” button by the Donate page on the Pages sidebar once again.
Step 11
This time, the page editor will show up with your donation form or button embedded in the “Description” text box. Click the green “Save” button again.
Step 12
Your embedded donation form or button should now appear on your Site123 editor! Click the green publish button on the bottom of the lefthand sidebar to save your website.
Your Donorbox donation form is now all set up on your Site123 website! Here’s a glimpse of what it should look like:
As always, you can change the color of your form to match your website design. You make this change in the “Color” tab of your Donorbox campaign editor.
