Donorbox’s Standard plan costs $0 per month. Our transaction fee is one of the lowest in the industry, and you can choose whether to ask donors to cover it for you – most do!

While Givebutter doesn’t charge a platform fee with optional tipping turned on, your donors are asked to pick up the bill with a 15% tip. This can create a negative giving experience for your donors and tap into their tipping fatigue. If you disable tipping, your organization will pay the platform fees mentioned above.
Whether tipping is turned on or not, your donors are asked to cover the payment processing fees. Givebutter also offers a Plus plan available for $348 a year.
Which is more expensive: Donorbox or Givebutter? Givebutter is free with optional tipping turned on, which asks your donors to tip 15% by default. With optional tipping turned off, fees are up to 2.75% higher than Donorbox's.
