Does every donor automatically get a Donor Portal account?
Not quite—if a donor decides to save their information after a one-time donation through the QuickDonate™ feature, or if they set up a recurring donation, they will receive an email inviting them to set up a donor portal account.
What information can donors see in their portal?
In the Donor Portal, donors can view transaction details, download receipts, pause, cancel, or change recurring donation plans, repeat any donation with QuickDonate™, change their email, password, and name, and close their account.
Can I customize the Donor Portal with my organization's branding?
Yes! After creating a campaign and uploading your logo, a Donorbox-hosted Donor Portal will be automatically created with your organization's name and logo. More advanced branding options, such as a custom domain, are available on the Premium plan.
What happens to a donor's portal account if they cancel their recurring plan?
Their account and history remain accessible. On the Donor Portal, donors can view transaction details, download receipts, pause, cancel, or change any recurring donation plans, repeat any donation with QuickDonate™, give to new campaigns, and manage their personal settings. Cancelling a plan doesn't remove their account or history.
Is QuickDonate™ available on mobile?
Yes—the Donor Portal is web-based and accessible from any device. Donors simply log in at donorbox.org/user_session/new from their mobile browser to access their portal and use QuickDonate™.
Is there an additional cost for the Donor Portal or QuickDonate™?
No. The Donor Portal and QuickDonate™ are included in every Donorbox plan at no extra charge, including the free Standard plan.
Can donors manage memberships through the Donor Portal as well?
Yes. As soon as members give to a membership campaign, we’ll send them their member login details via email. From there, they can log in with their credentials and manage their membership and payments, and also upgrade or cancel their membership from their accounts.
