For example, churches can permanently place a giving kiosk in an entryway or next to an announcement board that encourages congregants and visitors to give. Museums or other attractions can add a donation kiosk within a temporary exhibit or in a gift shop. How does the Donorbox Live™ Kiosk work?
Setting up your Live Kiosk couldn't be easier – some of our nonprofit clients have even started collecting donations within one day of receiving their kiosks! Simply create a Donorbox Live™ campaign, download the Donorbox Live™ app to an iPad, pair it with a Stripe M2 or WisePad3 card reader (depending on your location), and you're ready to accept in-person donations.
Donors simply select a suggested donation amount (or type in their own) and use their credit or debit card, smartphone, or smartwatch to complete their gift. They may also type in their name and email, should they choose to receive a receipt. You can also choose to set a minimum or maximum donation amount for donors who may feel extra generous.

How much does Donorbox Live™ Kiosk cost?
Unlike many kiosk alternatives, Donorbox Live™ Kiosk doesn’t require the use of a specific device, and can be used with your own iPad. This makes it an affordable, easy option for nonprofits looking to raise cashless funds in-person.
To use Live Kiosk, you’ll need:

A monthly or annual subscription for the Donorbox Live™ app
Devices: An iPad & card reader, or an NFC-enabled smartphone for Donorbox Live™ Mobile
The Donorbox Live™ subscription cost depends on your Donorbox plan. If you have a Standard or Pro plan, you can expect to pay $80/month or $820/annum (save $140 per year with annual!) for your first device, and $15/month for every additional device. If you have a Donorbox Premium plan, you’ll pay $50/monthly for your first device and $15/month for every additional device.
When a donation is made, you’ll be charged a small processing fee depending on your chosen payment processor: Stripe fees are 2.7% + $0.05 and PayPal fees are 1.75%.
Hardware – like iPads, stands, and card readers – is sold separately and can be ordered through Donorbox. You also have the freedom to use your own devices.
Does someone need to manage a giving kiosk?
It’s up to you! It’s so easy to use a giving kiosk with the Donorbox Live™ app that event attendees and visitors to your location can use it without assistance. This way, you can use your staff and volunteers more effectively.
Or, you can choose to have someone available to share more information about your mission, encourage donations, and offer assistance as needed.
How do you get people to use a giving kiosk?
Luckily, since payment kiosks in general have become more popular, it isn’t as hard to encourage people to try out a giving kiosk.
However, it’s important to make it as convenient as possible to donate using a giving kiosk. That’s why Donorbox Live™ Kiosk enables users to give with just a few taps on the screen and a payment method they should have on hand — card, smartphone, or smartwatch.

Yes, you can! To add signage to your Live Kiosk, start by speaking with our Sales team, where we learn more about your specific needs and what you have in mind. After you approve the quote, you'll add your artwork to our template, and we'll print and ship the order directly to you. Signs are quick and easy to install with magnetic backing. At the moment, custom signage is only available with our Floor Complete setup, with two dimension options: narrow and full. You can order signage with your initial Live Kiosk purchase, or at a later date.
