Winter is coming! (and we need your help to prepare).


Here at the sanctuary, we have a small John Deere transportation vehicle called the gator. Currently our gator is out of action due to battery failures and we urgently need it repairing! 


We use our gator to take hay and straw up to the cow shed over autumn and winter. The cows eat 5 bales of hay per day and require fresh straw for their deep winter bed, so the gator is a life saver for taking the heavy lifting out of this task. Replacement of the batteries will cost £1,288.

Another big expense we have coming up is the replacement of the drainage channel at the rear of our main barn.

Unfortunately during heavy rain this channel becomes overwhelmed and the barn floods! Which is very difficult for our volunteers to clean up and to prevent the animals' beds from becoming wet. Replacement of the drainage channel will cost £1,340. Can you help us prepare for winter?
