I look forward to getting to know our spot on earth better, through the eyes and worldview of its first human inhabitants.
From a friend of neighboring Basecamp at Beaver Falls
On behalf of the Association for Nature and Forest Therapy "Beaver Falls Immersion"
I learned of the Elnu Abenaki and this opportunity to buy back and protect land from trainers at a recent ANFT forest bathing guide immersion at Base Camp at Beaver Falls. Land acknowledgements are part of our guiding process. May they lead to action and support for return of this land.
Grateful to be able to contribute to this significant step forward.
This is a very important conservation act.
With gratitude for the opportunity to support the living culture of the Abenaki.
It is so important for those of us who are lucky enough to call this area our home, to acknowledge those who came before us. Thank you.
I grew up in Brattleboro and think this is a really important venture as we try to better recognize and preserve Native American history and culture. Many thanks to Fran Lynggaard Hansen and The Commons for the informative article.
Such an important and unique sacred place for ALL to honor
With humility and curious heart, I am glad I can help in a small way.
Thanks for the opportunity to contribute to this worthy cause.
Following the guidance of Robin Wall Kimmerer’s “Braiding Sweetgrass” and with gratitude to her for the weekend retreat at Kripalu last weekend🙏
For this river who I love and who holds me so deeply. Each act of love to the waters is an act of love towards self. Each practice of gratitude to self is gratitude to the waters. May we keep learning how to love ourselves and the rivers, for we are all bodies of water moving and flowing into and of eachother, always. Thank you deeply for being a guardian and nourisher of the waters of our world and of this place we call home.
This is a big step forward for our community. I look forward to seeing this sacred place finally treated with the respect and honor it deserves. I wish I could give more. Thank you to all involved
