Who Weโ€™re Showing Up For Right Now: Naira + Her 5 Daughters

Meet Naira — a widowed mother of five daughters, rebuilding after displacement from Artsakh.

After her husband, a soldier, was killed in the 2020 war, Naira and her daughters were displaced from their home and spent years jumping between temporary housing. She recently secured a home through a government voucher, but the house has no working bathroom. No usable toilet. No shower.

We’re currently fundraising $4,800 to renovate the bathroom in Naira’s home and restore a sense of safety, dignity, and stability for her and her five young girls. As with all Kooyrigs renovations, the labor will be completed by fellow displaced individuals from their village- creating income opportunities and community-led care.

Meet the Families Behind the Renovation Initiative

As part of our commitment to transparency and community care, we’ll be introducing the families we’re raising funds to support, right here on this donation page.

Each renovation is more than just a construction project. It’s a step toward restoring dignity and safety for families who’ve been displaced. You’ll learn who they are, what they’ve endured, and how your support is helping them rebuild.

So far, we’ve completed 11 renovations- made possible by generous donations through this portal and a $40,000 grant from the Choose Love organization.
