Since 11 December, following another Russian missile strike, Odesa Pre-Trial Detention Centre has been experiencing prolonged power outages. As a result, essential medical equipment — including oxygen support devices — has been functioning intermittently or not at all.
For a person with serious cardiological and pulmonological conditions, this situation poses an immediate and life-threatening risk.
According to the latest medical assessments I have received, Dr. Oleg Maltsev’s condition is critical — effectively requiring intensive care-level support.
Based on this information, I made the decision to urgently organize this fundraiser.
The first target I am confident we can reach quickly is €20,000.
These funds will be allocated as follows:
Urgent stabilization of cardiological and pulmonological conditions
(medication and specialist consultations for the next two months) — €5,000Humanitarian support
(special equipment and supplies necessary for survival during prolonged power outages in Odesa SIZO) — €3,000Legal support
(preparation and submission of materials to international platforms, including the UN and the OSCE) — €5,000Medical rehabilitation after release from detention — first stage — €7,000
Every contribution directly supports the preservation of health and life under conditions where delays carry irreversible risks.
I will continue to publish verified updates as the situation develops.
