Our beta version of Moldmap is launching in just a few weeks! We are planning for the end of November. This first version of Moldmap will contain 1,300 location ratings that we've accumulated over the past year with the cooperation with a few Facebook groups. It will have our interactive map, a browse locations page, and a form you can use to submit reviews. The site may be buggy and will be far from "optimal"--if you encounter an issues or have any suggestions for improvement please let us know at [email protected]. Also--your donations here are critical to help us pay for API usage from the map as well as server and ongoing development costs. We will become self-sufficient eventually, we just need to get past a few hurdles first. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Exciting news! I recently met with Michigan Tech University regarding our real-time mycotoxin sensor project--if everything works out they would serve as our R&D parter to help us develop a consumer sensor product that would make detecting mold in an indoor environment dramatically easier, and hopefully, cheaper as well. Our goal would be to integrate this sensor with the Moldmap platform so that we can bring in many more useful data points, which would help us paint a clearer picture of just how bad the mold issue is and how we might address it at a large scale.
