Craft Lake City invites you to support the Youth Artisan Entrepreneur Program, a free, enriching afterschool arts instruction and mentoring for elementary and middle school kids in an afterschool setting, while teaching entrepreneurial skills.
Through the Youth Artisan Entrepreneur Program, students at sites throughout Salt Lake County are able to participate in entrepreneurial workshops, taught by local artists in Craft Lake City’s network. These instructors discuss their craft, outline their journey to becoming a successful full-time artist and provide an experience interacting with a positive role model in a creative field.
Students who take part in the Youth Artisan Entrepreneur Program are additionally offered a space at Kid Row, a Saturday-only pop-up market at the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival dedicated to uplifting and empowering Utah’s next generation of creative makers. This year’s Kid Row will take place Saturday, August 10, from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and gives artists 18 and under the opportunity to sell their work, learn business skills and kickstart their dreams of owning a creative business.
Donations benefiting the Youth Artisan Entrepreneur Program can be made between 10:00 a.m. MDT on Tuesday, March 26 and 11:59 p.m. MDT on Wednesday, March 27.
