When we launched the Readers Decide campaign, we had no idea what to expect. Fundraising is hard. But you stepped up. You decided that our coverage matters. We met our initial goal of $10,000 in just three weeks, and as of March 31, topped $11,000—a truly record-breaking one-month number for our small organization. Thank you so much to everybody who joined us for this campaign! Special thanks to our new Friends of BSR and Local Media Champions. We will continue to fundraise as we build our summer coverage and beyond.
We needed to raise $10,000 by April to help us maintain operations, so we launched our first BSR Readers Decide campaign. Our readers stepped up! Now the campaign continues through March 31, 2026 in the hope of raising a total of $15,000.
