Sponsor a Living Free Dog

Living Free is a nonprofit animal sanctuary dedicated to helping animals in need of a second chance. We rescue neglected, abused, abandoned cats and dogs from local shelters when their time is up.

No matter what, these animals have all the time they need to find that perfect family. And, if they are not adopted, they can live out their lives at the sanctuary.

Currently, we have four dogs who have been with us for several years: Delta, Gideon, Kova, and Lola.

All four of these dogs are well-loved by our staff. We know them to be wonderful, loving companions, but understand that they have traits that make them particularly difficult to find the right adoptive home.

We are asking for your help to sponsor one of these dogs so that we can continue to provide care to rescue animals that arrive with special needs.

The annual expenses for a single dog in our kennel:

Food: Dog: $250-$750

Annual medical exams: $50-$100

Vaccinations: $10 to $100

Preventative medical: $50-$100

Toys and misc supplies: $20-$100

Any amount given will make a huge difference in the lives of these dogs.

Delta

Delta is a 10 year old Shepherd mix. She is loyal, smart, and independent. She is always happily wagging her tail and loves being around people. Her main requirement for adoption is that she must go to an experienced adopter without any other animals. Delta does not get along with other dogs or cats.

Gideon

Gideon is a 7 year old Border Collie mix. He is affectionate, playful, and very intelligent. He loves going on walks and exploring the dog park. He can be unsure around new people, but with a proper introduction is very loving and friendly. He gets along with other dogs, but prefers female dogs. His main requirement for adoption is that he must go to an experienced adopter who is a strong leader and will set boundaries in the home. We also recommend Gideon as a mostly outdoor dog as he has a tendency to mark.

Kova

Kova is a 5 year old Terrier mix. He loves playing fetch and swimming. He is an active dog that would love to be part of a home that enjoys walks and hiking. He can be wary and unpredictable around strangers. With a proper introduction  (usually involving playing fetch), Kova will easily become your new best friend. He also gets along well with other dogs. His main requirement for adoption is that he must go to a strong adopter who has experience working with dogs similar to Kova.

Lola

Lola is a 4 year old Terrier mix. She is goofy, playful, and very affectionate. She loves playing keep-away with her toys and running around the dog park. She is friendly with all people. However, Lola does not get along with smaller dogs or cats as she has a very high prey drive. Her main requirement for adoption is that she must go to an experienced adopter who will be cautious and sensitive to Lola's needs.
