Can you chip in to help us put a stop to a massive new open cut mine on Arthurs Seat?
If it goes ahead, this quarry will destroy irreplaceable koala, bird and small mammal habitat.
It will be about 800 metres from a primary school and early childhood learning centre.
Dust, noise and truck traffic will have a devastating impact on our community and on our tourism operators.
This fight is now urgent: the Ross Trust, the developer of the new quarry, has sped up the timetable for environmental assessment. The Trust – with assets of more than $60 million and an army of spin doctors, lawyers and consultants - is also splashing out on full page newspaper ads.
This means we are running out of time. To Save Arthurs Seat, we need to fight back with our own advertising and awareness campaign.
With your support, we plan a $50,000 fighting fund for a print, digital and social media advertising blitz. This will grow our supporter base and massively turn up the heat on the Ross Trust.
If we make enough noise, we have a real chance of stopping this madness.
