Phew. What an exhausting yet hopeful week. Thank you so much to everyone near and far who has reached out with financial or other support. We will be able to re-open the school on Monday, with infants and toddlers onsite, and the preschool program temporarily moving over to Brookside Elementary School. We will be able to start the playground remediation and repairs next week so that we can get the preschool back into its home ASAP.
We are currently doing outreach to contractors to repair the flooded apartments. Our goal is to build back in a way that is more resilient for future flood events. Unfortunately it seems we need to assume that the river will reach these levels more frequently. Your donations allow us to imagine not just repairing, but preparing for the future.
