Okay, we aren’t going to sit here and go on for paragraphs about how overwhelmed we are with the initial response to our capital campaign because if you know us, you know that is just a given. We are just two sassy Rock em Sock em robots with a dream and so many of you showed up for the cats and you helped us raise over 100k in less than a week so please give us time for our tiny bird brains to process your generosity. Our Grinch hearts have swelled and we want you to know just how appreciative we truly are.
We are currently waiting for our architect to finalize the drafts then lock down a contractor who is familiar with building out a rescue. So after the busiest month of our life, we finally have a couple weeks of breathing room before we can begin the initial construction. And until we get smart people with hammers inside our space to evaluate construction times, we won’t even have an estimated open date. But please cross your fingers for everything to go smoothly even though we know it won’t because, you know… life.
100k in one week is absolutely incredible and is 1/3 of our goal but we need to continue this momentum. So please consider telling all of your charitable friends and family and maybe check to see if your job matches donations because we still need your help to cross that finish line for the cats.
