Project Update: A Leap Forward!!
We are excited to announce major progress in our Healing with Hope Project. The Partnership Agreement for Healing with Hope-Tigray (PATH-Tigray) has been established and is diligently working to mobilize adequate support to those wounded by the war on Tigray. Since fundraising campaign launched on March 31, 2023, we have been trying to deliver critical interventions through a partnership agreement alongside critical stakeholders in Tigray. Unfortunately, PATH-Tigray encountered barriers that require careful navigation. It has taken over six months to draft a workable agreement between PATH-Tigray and the Tigray Patriots' Commission, an entity established to ensure a transparent and accountable delivery of support for veterans.
We are thrilled to inform you that PATH-Tigray and the Tigray Patriots' Commission have effectively identified feasible avenues for the Healing with Hope project to commence its work.
On August 29, 2023, a Memorandum of Understaing ( MOU) was signed between PATH-Tigray members, represented by TDRF’s In-Country Director, Daniel Tikabo; Tigray Patriots' Commission, represented by Dr. Goitom B. Haileselassaie, and Tigray Army Hospital, represented by Dr. Berhane at Awash Camp.
We are grateful to all partners who remained steadfast in their commitment to this cause and worked tirelessly to overcome obstacles and chart a way forward to ensure that the mission of restoring dignity and delivering healing with hope becomes a reality.
To that effect, PATH-Tigray has successfully reviewed and reallocated its budget for medical interventions. In the current phase, PATH Tigray is committed to the following goals:
1. Orthopedic and Neurosurgery: Covering the cost of 100 Orthopedic Surgeries and 50 Neurosurgery, making it 150 surgeries in total. The associated cost for these surgeries is 2.6 million Birr.
2. Eye Treatment: Providing treatments for eye-related injuries, including surgeries and material support. This initiative carries a cost of 2 million Birr.
3. Support for Female War Victims: Assist 450 female war victims with nutritional support and food aid. Additionally, 350 female veterans will receive blankets and bed sheets. The associated cost is 1 Million Birr.
This progress would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of all parties involved. Here are the roles for the collaborating parties dedicated to delivering the interventions in the current phase:
Procedural Operation and Surgery: New-Horizon for Disability Development Organization (NHDD) and Rescue and Oasis Actions for the Disables of War (ROAD-W) will diligently follow up on the procedural operations, surgeries, and necessary oversight.
Eye Treatment Leadership: Haben Tigray Relief and Development Association and SENEthiopia are taking the lead in eye-related treatments as well as any follow-ups.
Support for Female War Victims: Araya Women and Children Charitable Organization and Maedot Aid have been entrusted with providing comprehensive support to female war victims. Their responsibility extends to ensuring effective aid distribution, including blankets, bed sheets, and nutritional support.
NHDD will provide overall support in procurement supervision in alignment with the terms of the MOU.
ACSOT will be actively engaged in overseeing the overall measurement and evaluation of this intervention.
While many wounded veterans are still awaiting treatment, PATH is currently facing resource limitations that preventing it from reaching more individuals. Nevertheless, we are encouraged by the opportunity to contribute to a system that can serve as a model for delivering a comprehensive range of interventions to aid in rehabilitating and reintegrating our wounded veterans.

ጉድኣት ኣካል ዝበፅሖም ጀጋኑ ኣሓትናን ኣሕዋትናን ዘድልዮም ህፁፅ ሓገዝ ንምሃብ ዓሊሙ ብምትሕብባር TDRF ዝተጠርነፉ ልዕሊ 12 ኣብ ትግራይ ዝርከቡ መንግስታውን ዘይመንግስታውን ኣካላት PATH- Tigray ዝተሰየመ ጥምረት ፈጢሮም፣ ነዚ ዘድሊ ሓገዝ ናይ ምትእኽኻብ ስራሕቲ ካብ ዝጅምሩ 6 ኣዋርሕ ተቖፂሮም።
እዚ ወፍሪ ካብ ዝተጀመረሉ መወዳእታ ወርሒ መጋቢት፣ 2015 ዓ/ም ጀሚሩ ዝተመዝገቢ ወሰንቲ ምዕባለታት ከምዚ ዝስዕብ ቐሪቦም ኣለው።
እዚ ወፍሪ ካብ ኣጀማምርኡ ህፁፅ ሓገዝ ንምሃብ ዓሊሙ ሰፊሕ ምድላውን ዝተገበረሉን፣ ብሓበራዊ ስምምዕ ንፁር መደባት ስራሕን ናይ ግዘ ሰሌዳን ወፂኡሉ ዝተጀመረ እኳ እንተኾነ ኣብ ኸይዲ ዝተወሰኑ ዕንቅፋታት ኣፈፃፅማ ገጢሞምዎ እዩ። ነዚኦም ብግቡእ ኣካይዳ ፍታሕ ምሃብ ተኻኢሉ እዩ።
ኣብ ሞንጎ ጥምረት PATH Tigrayን ኮሚሽን ሓርበኛታት ትግራይን ግልፅን ሓላፍነት ዘነፀረን መስርሕ ንምፍርራም ናይ 6 ወርሒ ምድላው ወሲዱ እዩ።
በዚ ኸይዲ ወፍሪ ምድሓን ምስ ተስፋ ናብ ተግባር ንኽሳገር ዘኽእሉ ሓበራዊ ምርድዳኣት ክንፈጥር ምኽኣልና ሓደ ዓብይ ዓወት እዩ። ኣብዚ ኸይዲ ዘጋጠሙ ኣሜኬላታት ብትዕግስቲ ፍታሕ ኣብ ምንዳይ ንዝተሳተፉ ኹሎም ምስጋናና ልዑል እዩ።
ሰሉስ 23 ነሓሰ፣ 2015ዓ/ም ኣብ ሞንጎ ጥምረት PATH - Tigrayን፣ ብሆስፒታል ኣዋሽ ዝተወከለ ኮሚሽን ሓርበኛታት ትግራይን ብዝተፈረመ ሓበራዊ ሰነድ ስምምዕ መሰረት PATH - Tigray ንተግባራት ቐዳማይ ምዕራፍ ወፍሪ ምድሓን ምስ ተስፋ ዝውግነሉ ዝተሓደሰ ትልሚን ባጀትን ኣፅዲቑ ኣሎ። በዚ ትልሚ መሰረት እዞም ስዒቦም ዘለው ቐንዲ ውራያት ክውገኑ እዮም።
1. ኦርቶፔዲክን ኒውሮ መጥባሕትን - ን100 ኦርቶፔዲክ መጥባሕትን 50 ኒውሮ መጥባሕትን፣ ብድምር ን150 መጥባሕትታት ዝውዕል 2.6 ሚልዮን ብር፣
2. ምስ መጉዳእቲ ዓይኒ ዝተተሓሓዙ ጉድኣታት ንምሕካም ዘድሊ ወፃኢ ሕክምናን ሓገዝ ንብረትንዝውዕል 2 ሚልዮን ብር፣
3. ንጉድኣት ኣካል ዝበፅሐን 450 ደቂ ኣንስትዮ ተጋደልቲ ሓገዝ ሃናፂ ምግቢን ን350 ደቂ ኣናስትዮ ጉዱኣት ኣሕዋትና ዝወሃብ ኮቦርታን ኣንሶላን ንምቕራብ ዝውዕል 1 ሚልዮን ብር ተመዲቡ ኣሎ።
ነዚ ዓብይ ምዕባለ ክውንነት ዘይተሓለለ ሓበራዊ ፃዕሪ ብምግባር ግቡኦም ዝፍፅሙ ኣባላት ጥምረት PATH -Tigray ድማ፤
ሕክምና መጥባሕቲ ብዝምልከት ኒው ሆራይዘን ምስ ROAD-W ግቡእ ክትትል ክገብሩ እዮም።
ሕክምና ዓይኒ ጠሚቶም ዘለዉ ዉራያት ሓበን ትግራይ ምስ SenEthiopia ሓላፍነት ወሲዶም ኣለዉ።
ንጉድኣት ኣካል ዝበፅሐን ደቂ ኣንስትዮ ተጋደልቲ ዝተተሓሓዙ ፍፃመታት AWCCO ምስ ማዕዶት ግቡእ ክትትል ምስ ስራሕቲ ዕደጋን ምክፍፋልን ከዋድዱ እዮም።
ኒው ሆራይዘን ሓፈሻዊ ስራሕቲ ዕደጋ ብመሰረት ሓበራዊ ስምምዕነት ይከታተል።
ሕብረት ትካላት ሲቪል ማሕበረሰብ ትግራይ ናይዚ ስራሕ ሙሉእ ዑደት ብዘተቐምጡ መመዘኒታትን ረቑሓታትን መሰረት ምዕባሉኡን ፅፈቱን ኣብ ምልካዕን ይኹን ኣብ ምግምጋም ኣድሂቡ ብላዕለዋይነት ክከታተል እዩ::
ቑፅሪ ሓገዝ ዝግብኦም ጀጋኑ ዉጉኣት ተጋደልቲ ኣሕዋትናን ኣሓትናን ብዙሕ እኳ እንተኾነ፣ PATH - Tigray ብዘለዎ ውሱን ባጀት እቲ ፀገም ንምቅላል ኣብ ምንቅስቓስ ይርከብ። በዚ ሐዚ ተበፂሑ ዘሎ ሓበራዊ ትልሚ ትግበራ ክነዐውቶ እንኽእል ኣገልግሎትን ኣበርክቶን ውጉኣት ጀጋኑና ኣብ ምሕዋይን ናብ ንቡር ህይወቶም ኣብ ምምላስ ኣብ ዝግበር ፃዕሪ ኣብነታዊ መስርሕ ንፈጥር ስለዘለና ሓበን ይስመዓና።
