Equitable, comprehensive, and sustainable supportive services and resources must reach those most impacted by the war on Tigray for reconstruction and rebuilding efforts to be meaningful. The utmost focus in post war recovery must be placed on those made vulnerable by the genocidal war on Tigray. Access to necessities, such as food, shelter and healthcare followed by access to educational and employment training opportunities must be accessible.

 

It has been estimated that a million lives were lost due to the war on Tigray. Countless men and women have now returned home with life altering injuries, trauma, and disabilities. Sadly, those wounded due to the war on Tigray have a long and painful road ahead as they navigate life with their physical and mental scars of war. Tigray Disaster Relief Fund (TDRF), together with critical stakeholders in Tigray, has established the Partnership Agreement for Healing with Hope –Tigray (PATH-Tigray) , which is conducting a needs assessment to identify urgent needs of the wounded and mobilize financial support to help deliver the much-needed relief.

 

Many remain in urgent need of physical care from their injuries, requiring complex medical treatments and rehabilitative therapies. In addition, they need long term psychological support, to help them cope with the experienced traumatic distress. Psychological support can include counseling, specialized workshops, and other forms of therapy to help reintegrate them as productive members of society. Wounded victims of war on Tigray should also be given access to educational and vocational opportunities that can help them reintegrate into their communities and regain a sense of normalcy.

ብሰንኪ ኲናት ፀነተ ትግራይ ልዕሊ ሓደ ሚልዮን ተጋሩ ህይወቶም ስኢኖም እዮም። ብኣሽሓት ዝቑፀሩ ድማ ከቢድ ኣካላዊ መጉዳእቲ፣ ስነልቦናዊ ማህሰይትን በፂሕዎም እዩ። ብዙሓት ኣብ ፎቖዶ መዕቖቢ ተፈናቐልቲ ይርከቡ፣ ዝተወሰኑ ድማ ምስ እዚ ዝበፅሖም ጉድኣት ናብ መረበቶም ይምለሱ ኣለዉ። እዞም ኣካላውን ስነልቦናውን ጉድኣት ዝበፅሖም ወገናትና፣ ኣብ ዝተረፈ ዘመን ዕድመኦም ተሰኪሞምዎም ምስ ዝነብሩ ፀገማትን ፈተናታትን ይርከቡ። TDRF ኣብ ትግራይ ምስ ዝርከቡ ቑልፊ መዳርግቲ ኣካላት ብምትሕብባር ወፍሪ "ምድሓን ምስ ተስፋ" ንምክያድ ሓቢሮም ምስ ዝሰርሑ ኣካላት ሓበራዊ ኣካል ኣጣይሹ ስሩዕ ሰነድ ተፈራሪሙ ኣሎ። እዚ ዝተጣየሸ ሓበራዊ ኣካል ኣብ ዘሎ ህልው ኩነታትን ህፁፅ ጠለብን ብምርምር ዝተደገፈ ሓበሬታ ብምእካብ፣ ጉድኣት ኣካል ንዝበፅሖም ግቡእ ሓገዝ ንምብፃሕ ይሰርሕ ኣሎ።


ብዙሓት ጉድኣት ዝበፅሖም ወገናትና፣ ከበድቲ መጥባሕቲታት ዝጠልብ ህፁፅ ኣካላዊ ሕክምናን ኽትትልን የድልዮም። ብተወሳኺ፣ ተኸታታሊ ናይ ነዊሕ ግዘ ስነልቦናዊ ደገፍ ብምሃብ ግቡእ ሕክምና ክረኽቡን ናብ ንቡር ዕለታዊ ተግባራት ክምለሱን ይግባእ። ስነልቦናዊ ምኽሪ፣ ክትትል፣ ደገፍን ፅቡቕ ማሕበረሰባዊ ሕውየት የቀላጥፍ። ጉድኣት ኣካል ዝበፅሖም ወገናትና ናብ ንቡር ተግባራት ክምለሱ ናይ ትምህርቲ ዕድልን ናይ ሞያ ስልጠናታትን ክረኽቡ ይግባእ። 


መውጋእትን መቑሰልትን ዝበፅሖም ኣሓትናን ኣሕዋትናን ካብ ከቢድ ስምዒታትን ተስፋ ምቑራፅን ክንከላኸሎም፣ መፃኢኦም ብሩህ ክንገብሮ ንኽእል ኢናን ይግበኣናን። ጀጋኑና ሓላፍነት ኩላትና እዮም እሞ ኣብዚ ወፍሪ ሓገዝ ብምግባር ግቡእና ንዋፃእ። ሓገዝና ምንም ከይሰስዑ ምእንታና ዘላቶም ህይወት ንዝበጀዉ ወገናትና ዓብይ ተስፋ እዩ።
