The Forge Initiative is a 501(c)3 founded in 2010. Since the beginning, our members have been dedicated to reducing barriers in STEAM, making it accessible for everyone.
Our mission is to empower families and individuals of all ages, genders, backgrounds, experience levels, and ethnicities to collaboratively explore, learn, and lead in technology and engineering.
We do this by building a Forge community that brings together families, professionals, students, youth, homemakers and more to engage in a hands-on, self-directed environment. In our space, everyone is an explorer, learner and leader—building on their interests and skills, while sharing their knowledge with others.
As the Triangle of NC becomes one of the most expensive areas in the nation, we need your help to sustain a truly unique space—a place where opportunities are limitless. Here, people of all ages can experience technology they've only ever heard of or seen on TV. They discover that learning through mistakes leads to success. And there's no pressure, only growth.
