Since 7th of October 2023, the Israeli authorities launched a terrifying and indiscriminate assault on the people of Palestine, with the innocent civilians of the Gaza strip being the main target.
This includes:
▪️ Intense and continuous airstrikes and bombardments on civilians, homes, hospitals, mosques, churches, UNRWA shelters, and stated ‘safe’ passages to the south.
▪️ Cutting of electricity and water lines to the population Internet and communications blackouts
▪️ Blockades at border crossings, restricting access for humanitarian aid to enter and meaning that the already limited travel rights of Palestinian people were stopped altogether.
38,000 people have lost their lives approximately 15,000 of whom are children.
About 2 million Gazans have lost homes and internally displaced, living in shelters, tents and crammed in the remaining small number of houses, many of whom have lost limbs or maimed.
Entire families have been wiped out!
Starvation, famine, disease is rife!
We are raising funds!
RBB firmly believes in supporting people aiding within their own communities. In keeping with this, we will assist a community-led initiative proposed and organised by Palestinian members of our network who have been part of our volunteer teams in the refugee camps of Greece. We are working with trusted team members in Gaza to provide urgent humanitarian aid and assistance.
To date we have supported 30,000 people with dried food packs, fresh food items, baby products, water and cooked food.
We have travelled to Cairo to send four trucks of aid to Gaza and we are now raising funds to send more trucks of aid when we can (due to the Rafah invasion, this is currently suspended); and buy locally bought aid for distributions in Gaza.
Gaza is under attack and our Palestinian brothers, sisters and children not only need our prayers and support, but every pound/euro/dollar you donate will show you solidarity with them and the Palestinian diaspora doing what they can to support their communities in this time.
Please support us today!
