My gunsmith has built several AR15 rifles for me in 5.56. They all worked well;however, Last week I took my latest rifle that he built to the range and it would not cycle. I took it back to him and he discovered that he had put the gas tube in backwards. He corrected the problem and said that the gas tube was not affected but when I cleaned it and reassembled it, the BCG (a Daniel Defense) would not slide in readily. It hung up on the gas tube. I think this gas tube is bad. I will have him replace the gas tube with a new one. Would putting the gas tube in backwards cause the rifle to not cycle?

I bought a new 20 inch barrel .223 wylde with barrel extension from a high profile barrel maker but it would not accept a Forster “go” gage or chamber any .223 or 5.56 ammo. The barrel maker told me that it was my receiver that was out of specs, Is that correct? I did not think the receiver had anything to do with headspace. I tried several bolts but nothing works.

You probably don't remember but a couple Live Streams ago I sent you the question about carrying with Winter Gloves, solved my problem by taking my gloves to the store and walked out with a Sig M18 with TLR-7 to go with it. Haven't shot it yet but my friend in the Active Duty Marines just qualified on it this week and was singing its praises non-stop. What's a holster you can recommend that can fit the TLR-7 Light?

In regards to the plethora of PCCs (Pistol Caliber Carbines) that are on the market, they typically utilize some of the readily available aftermarket magazines; such as Glock mags and most recently the SIG P320 pistol mags. Since the adoption of the Beretta M9/92 series of pistols in the 80’s, has any company thought about incorporating the Beretta 92 magazines into a PCC? – Or even other companies using the Colt 1911 magazines as another alternative?
