Bennington Family Center is a Kansas non-profit corporation, established to lead and support the Bennington, Kansas community in building the best foundation for families by providing early childhood, school-age and adult education and access to social services that help strengthen the family unit.
Our first effort is establishing a child care facility to help supplement child care capacity and provide quality early childhood education for families in our community. Bennington is currently served by two licensed child care facilities with a combined licensed capacity of 22 children. Both of these facilities have kids on a waiting list with many other children receiving care from family, unlicensed facilities or other less desirable situations.
Funds raised for this campaign will be used to complete the purchase of a home where we can initially provide services, along with the renovation and supplies needed to receive a license. Additional funds will help fund initial operating reserves and ultimately offset operational costs, which will allow us to provide assistance to families that need it the most so that every family in our community has a chance to thrive.
