For over 40 years, Whiskers has been a safe haven for abandoned, injured, and forgotten cats in our community. Now, we're renovating our new space to create a shelter that will provide housing for 150 cats:
* Spacious Cat Suites for up to 12 cats each, designed for comfort and enrichment with attention to their different needs.
* Modern materials and finishes that meet New York State's new standards for companion animal care
* An on-site medical suite for treatment and recovery
* A welcoming space for volunteers, adopters, and our community
* Updated heating, cooling and ventilation systems

Contributions to the Building Hope Capital Campaign will be used for the renovation, outfitting, and ongoing operation of Whiskers’ new shelter facility. Funds may be applied to: engineering and architectural services; legal, professional and consulting fees; project management; contractors and labor; building supplies and materials; equipment and furnishings; utilities; security systems; building maintenance and repairs; insurance; permits, inspections, and other governmental fees; taxes; and loan repayment related to the shelter property and improvements.
If the fundraising goal is not met or circumstances prevent completion of the renovation as planned, remaining funds will be used to support the care, housing, and well‑being of cats served by Whiskers, including medical care, supplies, and placement efforts, consistent with our charitable mission.
No goods or services were provided in exchange for this contribution, unless explicitly stated in your receipt. Donations are non‑refundable. Our most recent financial statements and Form 990 are available upon request as required by New York Executive Law §172‑b and §172‑e.
