For many families in Idyllwild and the surrounding mountain communities, even a routine veterinary appointment means driving an hour or more off the mountain. Wellness exams, vaccinations, and spay and neuter surgeries often require an all-day trip, making regular veterinary care difficult to access.
Living Free Animal Sanctuary is working to change that.
We already have a space on our campus dedicated to the future clinic. Now, we need your help to transform it into a modern, affordable veterinary facility that will serve mountain pets and the families who love them.
The renovation project will cost approximately $200,000 and will include improvements to create safe surgical and exam spaces, install veterinary equipment, and prepare the clinic to welcome its first patients.
Our goal is to open in phases. We'll begin by offering affordable spay and neuter surgeries and core vaccinations, then expand to include wellness exams, routine checkups, dental care, and other preventative services as the clinic grows.
For more than 45 years, Living Free has been dedicated to giving animals a second chance. This clinic is the next chapter in that mission, helping pets stay healthy, reducing shelter intake through preventative care, and making veterinary services more accessible for our mountain communities.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to opening our doors.
Help us turn an empty space into a place where pets receive the compassionate care they deserve.
