Scott and I are proud to recognize Nick Dawson for his lifelong service through his work in the Plumas County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilition. He provided key leadership to California's Conservation (Fire) Camp Program, helping incarcerated people develop professional skills to give hope and prevent recitivism. Scott and I are proud to recognize his brother, Brent Dawson. Brent served in the US Army before transitioning to serve in various law enforcement roles with Daly City, San Francisco, and Dixon. Brent was recognized with the "Officer of the Year" award in 2022. We are grateful for his lifetime of service in keeping communities safe.
