Our Impact in 2022:
This year, avian flu has ravaged both farmed and wild bird populations, with ventilation shutdown plus heat being used to kill millions of farmed turkeys and chickens everyday, but the ads, articles and recipes that pop up on your feed are likely to leave out this unpleasant truth and focus on festive feels instead.
We’ve been working tirelessly to shift this narrative and hold mainstream media accountable because we believe that mastering the media is key to achieving change. What we see on Google, in the headlines, in adverts and on social media, tells us a story. And with your support, we can make sure the story we want to see is front and center.
We need your support to raise $25,000 to continue our essential work; supporting a growing community of writers and bringing the truth about animal agriculture to the masses. With your help, we’re hoping to kickstart 2023 by reaching our goal this December.

What am I supporting by funding Sentient Media?
Sentient Media is changing the conversation about animal agriculture. In 2022 this is how we’ve done it:
We’ve had 173 million views of pro-animal headlines on Google – that’s the same as the entire population of Canada, the UK and France reading the truth about Big Ag.
Our Writers’ Collective program trained 800 journalists and advocates in 53 different countries how to write and pitch stories that focus on the facts about animal agriculture and helped them to publish more than 1500 articles.
Our Social Media Fellowship Program trained 110 digital advocates in essential communication skills. Their campaigns reached over 40,000 people around the world.
We worked with 15 animal protection organizations, teaching them new digital marketing skills to drive more people to their cause and help them win campaigns quicker.
We’ve been laser focused on changing the conversation around animal agriculture by redoubling our efforts and targeting stories that center animals in agriculture, climate, health, justice and science.
Readers and advocates like you can help create public awareness of the agriculture industry’s impact on the climate crisis, extraction of natural resources and systemic exploitation of those bound up in food production.
