The Work That Reconnects (WTR) was made for times like these. This statement becomes more true with each passing year as the impacts of the multiple crises of our times – or polycrisis – weigh heavily on our human communities, our more than human kin and the Earth. In the face of the challenges and isolation of the Great Unraveling, WTR brings us together to feel our gratitude and express our pain for the world while rooting into our innate interdependence with each other and all of life and igniting our will to act on behalf of collective wellbeing.
Your generous support and loving contributions make it possible for the Work That Reconnects Network to support this brilliant work around the world and thrive as a vital resource for the Great Turning. Your gifts empower our team to fulfill the WTR Network mission of nurturing a regenerative and thriving world for all beings by providing support, connection and inspiration to the global Work That Reconnects community.
As our small team stretches to meet the needs of our growing global community, we trust in the necessity of this work and in the possibilities of connection that are yearning to blossom. And we appreciate the ways that generosity supports regeneration as it flows through our community, moving in currents of money, time, energy, connection, inspiration and a deep sense that the Great Turning is afoot and we are not in this alone.
In the past year we have continued to nurture seeds planted during the Gaian Gathering, welcomed almost 40 new Facilitator Members and over 200 new Community Members, hosted a wide range of inspiring webinars and community rituals, and entered into a stimulating partnership with the Capra Course to support WTR Facilitator Members in deepening their understanding of Living Systems. We’ve also been working behind the scenes on a fresh new website for the Deep Times Journal, which we’re excited to launch after the new year.
In the coming year, we’re looking forward to the second phase of our partnership with the Capra Course, which will extend the shared learning experience to our wider community and to partnering with WTR facilitators around the world to strengthen local communities of resilience and in-person connection during our upcoming Communities of Practice Convening.
All this beauty emerges from our intrinsic yearning to connect with each other and with our living world in creativity and resilience. Instead of pulling away in despair, we reach towards each other and find new ways to thrive.
We are an organization made up of lovers, practitioners and facilitators of WTR. We are not sustained by funds from major foundations or dependent on corporate sponsors. We are generating this resource together, as a community, by contributing what we are able to, comfortably and joyfully.
By pitching in together in the ways that we can, we sustain our collective work and foster a community built on generosity and mutual support.
With the launch of our #GivingTuesday2024 campaign, we’re excited to announce that a generous WTR Network Facilitator Member has pledged to match the first $20,000 we raise on #GivingTuesday. With your support, our goal is to raise $40,000 by December 3.
