1478F was shot and killed in WMU 313 when it was closed to wolf hunting, her research collar cut off then thrown into a tree. This reward is from residents in our local communities along the border of Yellowstone and across the state of Montana - residents, business owners, land owners, and voters who have had enough of the no-consequence illegal killing of wolves. Others contributing are in WY and ID, and annual visitors that bring tourism dollars into the state.
Large Carnivore Fund and Wolves of the Rockies are working together with our local communities on this reward towards prosecution for this wildlife crime.

"GARDINER – Game wardens with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks are seeking information about a wolf that was killed illegally near Gardiner last month.
Officials received a mortality signal from a wolf collar in the Jardine area. They found the collar had been cut off and thrown into a tree, but they did not find a wolf carcass.
This area is in wolf management unit 313, which closed to wolf hunting on Nov. 16. However, game wardens believe the collared wolf was killed around 10 p.m. on Dec. 25.
Anyone with possible information is encouraged to contact Gardiner game warden Kameron Rauser at 406-224-5207 or visit tipmont.mt.gov to provide details. You may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000."
