Support Affected Families from South Lebanon with Essential Hygiene Kits
In times of war and conflict, period poverty worsens due to reduced access to menstrual products and greater strains on financial resources. Currently, across Lebanon, almost 100,000 people have had to leave their homes (OCHA, 2024) and we have heard firsthand from people how difficult it has been to source materials with which to manage their periods. This is where we come in. At WingWoman Lebanon, we’re on a mission to fight inequality with sustainable solutions and we do this through providing reusable period pads and diapers. This enables us to also offer decent work opportunities to women and reduce waste going to landfill. To date, we’ve distributed 140,000+ reusable pads and 2500+ reusable diapers through organizations including UNICEF, International Medical Corps, and Action Against Hunger and we want to distribute more!
With your support, we aim to raise $6000 enabling us to distribute 400 packs of reusable period pads through our amazing pattern INTERSOS. The pads will go to those affected by the situation in South Lebanon. $15 (£11.40) is all it takes to provide a 2.5-3 year supply of reusable pads.
This not only helps people manage menstruation with dignity but it also helps families save valuable money - not to mention the added environmental benefits.

INTERSOS is dedicated to providing holistic support through a range of activities designed to address the needs of vulnerable populations, particularly women, children, and marginalized groups.
In South Lebanon and Nabatieh Governorates, they are actively working across six safe spaces, three of which are currently located in areas impacted by the ongoing hostilities, which unfortunately limits accessibility. These spaces serve both host and refugee communities, offering crucial services such as: Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Response and Awareness, Psychosocial Support (PSS) & Community-Based Protection (CBP) Activities.
Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing situation in some areas, they remain committed to delivering essential protection services and support to those who need it most.
