Per City of Lakewood's Campaign Finance Ordinance:
* Contributions to "Wendi For Lakewood" are not tax deductible.
* Contributions by individuals are limited to $800 per individual donor per election cycle.
* Contributions must be made from personal funds and cannot be reimbursed by a third party.
* Anonymous and/or third party donations are prohibited.
* Contributors must be US Citizens over the age of 18.
* To comply with Colorado law, a contributor's occupation and employer are required for campaign finance reporting purposes.
Per municipal ordinance, Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) may contribute to political campaigns, but Corporations and LLCs that are taxed as corporations may not contribute to municipal political campaigns. Political contributions may not be made using a corporate credit card or check.
A political committee may contribute if it is registered with The City of Lakewood and meets the requirements of the municipal ordinance.
