HaGal Sheli has empowered individuals nationwide to overcome life's challenges using surf therapy for over a decade. With 60% male, 39% female, 1% non-binary, 80% Jewish Israeli, and 20% Arab Muslim and Christian Arabs, HaGal Sheli’s demographics break gender norms and barriers while mirroring Israeli society as a whole.
Utilizing this decade of experience and over two years in operating its impactful PTSD surf therapy program in partnership with the Israeli Ministry of Defense Rehabilitation Department, HaGal Sheli took immediate action, in the first week following October 7th, providing critical care for 1300+ released hostages, Nova Festival survivors, & and evacuees from most affected communities, north and south.
