We had another successful camp this year in Charlotte, NC. June 18, we graduated 23 NEW umpires and welcomed them into our organization. It was a great week and although our last day of games was rained out, it was a successful camp. We have lots of events in the future that we are working, to include:

We have approved 28 students this year for our camp! This is the largest class we have ever had at WWUA. There will be someone representing every branch of the service and we are excited as the average umpire experience is about 1 year. This year we will have a Chaplain on board to help guide us in the peer and mentoring support and we have some amazing professionals in the game of baseball helping us out on the sidelines.

This year's Academy will be held fom June 12-22. We will be training up to 24 veterans at a cost of $3000 per veteran. We offer this opportunity to them free of charge with help from our Grand Slam Sponsors and supporters like you!
