Walking On is an intimate short documentary that follows Karrie Young, an Indigenous flute player from the Muscogee Creek Nation, who volunteers her time and music to comfort those who are crossing over or, as many Native peoples say, “Walking On.”

Through her hauntingly beautiful flute music, Karrie provides a sense of peace and connection in moments that often remain unseen. The film offers a quiet yet profound window into this sacred passage, exploring death not as an ending, but as a bridge between worlds.

At its heart, Walking On is a meditation on one of the few experiences shared by all people everywhere death. Told through the lens of Indigenous art and spirituality, this film bridges the rivers between life and death, culture and belief, past and present.

With a deeply respectful and visually poetic approach, the film explores how Indigenous music serves as both art and ceremony—a way to guide spirits home and bring healing to those left behind.
