💌 Update from the Original GoFundMe for Ali’s Family – £586 Raised
Dear friends and supporters,
I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and honor the contributions made through the original GoFundMe I created six weeks ago for Ali and his family in Gaza.
Over that time, £586 was collected and every pound truly made a difference. While I’ve now centralized fundraising through this Voices of Gaza campaign (which supports Ali’s family and another family in urgent need), I want to make sure those who gave earlier know exactly what they helped make possible.
🌾 How the donations helped:
- Ali’s family was able to purchase basic food supplies, after weeks of surviving only on bread.
- The family welcomed a new baby two weeks ago, and your donations supported a safe delivery, despite the lack of medical care.
- Funds were sent in small, carefully monitored installments, with full transparency and direct communication.
- Though receiving aid in Gaza carries high transaction fees and logistical obstacles, these funds were life-saving.. without them, the family would have gone without food.
- I’ve received photos and videos directly from Ali’s family, which I’ll be posting in this update to show the tangible impact of your generosity.
✨ Every photo, every smile, every full belly is a direct result of your kindness. This work continues.. slowly, tenderly, and with great care.
This is just one family’s story and yet, it’s a reflection of how your help becomes hope. I’m so grateful to those who gave in those early weeks. Your compassion reached across borders and gave life where there was despair.
