Dial-A-Bus Vans to Support Schoolchildren in Need

During the school year, Dial-A-Bus transports children in need to and from school in multiple districts. The school administration signs children up for our services when they deem it necessary or greatly beneficial to the child. The kids we transport could be navigating home insecurity, they could have been moved out of district due to extenuating circumstances but they need the stability of their original school, or they might have special needs and will benefit from a quieter or more individualized ride with Dial-A-Bus. Our staff has been trained to work with children who have experienced trauma in their lives so that we can make their ride to school comfortable. 

For the last six years, as the number of children we transport has grown, we have been renting four to five vehicles each week of the school year in order to continue helping these kids. We will not fail our clients and would love to have our own vehicles to give them rides in. The donations we received last month have allowed us to purchase two minivans of our own for these purposes. We are still hoping to purchase three more so that we can help the children in our community without needing to rent extra vehicles to do so.
