From the beginning, we are committed to building a school that is not only exceptional today, but sustainable for generations to come. One of our highest priorities is establishing the financial strength and reserves that will allow the school to thrive through changing circumstances and future challenges.
We looked at the financials of longstanding, stable schools like ours, and one thing stood out. These schools fundraise roughly 20% of their revenue every year and build cash reserves large enough to function as a small endowment. As a nonprofit, Valley Independent doesn't have shareholders or a corporate parent company covering that gap. Philanthropy is the backbone of how schools like ours stay strong and steady, and we're instilling that in our culture from day one.
The funds raised in this campaign will be strategically managed to provide stabilizing support for our school through future investments, programs, events and will allow us to continue the practice of financial aid to support our community in the way they need.
By building the foundation of this from the very start, we can help ensure that future students benefit for years to come.
