Long-View Micro School hosted a tile party to help bring awareness of the Uvalde Love Project and also bring in funds. During the event, participants were able to make tiles of their own to add to the finished mosaic mural project. The team had a heartwarming opening weekend of October 9. We served tacos and ran ran 4 groups totaling 30 people during the first weekend. We began the planning stages of the mosaic mural while offering the community a safe space to express themselves. Guardians were able to get support while the children were in group sessions.
We continue to meet biweekly, in-person on Mondays with 1-2 art therapy groups, as well as a virtual group during the off weeks. Thank you for your donations, as they have made these groups possible!
