Goal

The Urban Village "Fight For Something" Scholarship was intentionally designed to empower Karen and Karenni youth with an opportunity to launch with a college degree despite the rising cost of college education. The reality is this, many youth in our community will face financial barriers in pursuit of a four year degree. This scholarship provides our youth with an opportunity to "fight for something" as they utilize scholarship funds to grow themselves and fulfill required service of their community. 

Our goal is to build a $420k fund that would allow us to create scholarships for 30 students. Our friends at Fight For Something and the MN Christmas Market are jumpstarting it with a $100k commitment.

Through our partnerships we're able to turn a $3,500 donation into an $11,000 annual scholarship! That's $44,000 over 4 years!!!
