What an incredible January we've had! As we enter into the final 2 days of our #UnleashthePower fundraising campaign, we want to share with you some highlights from the culmination of our 2023 programs and beginning of our 2024 journey, as a glimpse into the transformative work that we are now able to continue, thanks to your support.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THIS MONTH:
We hosted our 4th annual YxY Learning Festival. We began with 9 in-person meet-ups gathering 300 young people in our Glocal Hubs, culminating with a 3-day global learning journey gathering 345 youth activists and adult allies dedicated to transforming education, intergenerationally. See our Collective Harvest from all the conversations that took place and our Breakdown by Session documents. All of our sessions have been recorded and are on a playlist on our YxY Youtube page.
We graduated our Weavership Class of 2023, an incredible cohort of 41 Weavers who completed our 10-month capacity-building program. Explore their stories, challenges, and triumphs on our blog – a testament to the impact our community is making globally.

Two years ago today, we launched our first in-person Glocal Hub in Lagos, Nigeria. Nearly a third of our YxY community call Nigeria their home, and about half live on the African continent. With the majority of our community living in the Global South and an active presence across 6 continents (minus Antarctica), our diverse community builds bridges across geographies, generations and differences.
The following story, the third part in our six-part video series, speaks to our roots. It illuminates how our global ecosystem of knowledge and solidarity nurtures the local communities where YxY Activists learn, live and weave with peers and allies to transform education.
