       Help Fulfill Tyler’s Greatest Wish

Mission Statement

To ensure Tyler Preston's three children receive the Christian education he dreamed of for them and, in time, to support young musicians pursuing their dreams through education and mentorship.

Tyler loved three things above everything else - his family, especially his three children, his music, and his faith. At just 37 years old, his life ended far too soon on July 5, 2026, but his greatest dream never died: that his children grow up knowing they were deeply loved and receive the Christian education he wanted for them.

Just after midnight on July 5, 2026, after performing what would unknowingly become the final show of his life, Tyler was driving home on a quiet country road near Gonzales, Texas. In a single tragic moment, his vehicle left the road. Tyler was thrown from the vehicle and God called him Home.

Tyler was many things—a gifted musician, songwriter, computer programmer, Eagle Scout, entrepreneur, and dreamer. But above all else, he was a devoted father. Every morning, he walked his children to the park. Every evening, he read them bedtime stories. Music filled their home as he played his guitar while his son joined him on the harmonica. His greatest joy wasn’t performing on stage—it was simply being “Daddy” to Tyler Jr., Clementine, and Susanna.

Like many exceptionally gifted children, Tyler experienced the world differently. From an early age, his remarkable intelligence and creativity were unmistakable.  By grade 4, he tested out post high school. By middle school, he had taught himself to play the flute, guitar, the bass violin and the timpani drums. Tyler joined his High School Symphony playing these drums at Carnegie Hall.  Tyler was published while still in high school, and more recently created Union Booking, an innovative software platform that helped independent musicians find opportunities and connect with venues.

Yet behind those extraordinary gifts, Tyler quietly battled challenges that few people fully understood. Through it all, one dream never changed. He wanted his children to grow up surrounded by love, have every opportunity to flourish, and receive a Christian education.

Today, that dream is within reach.

His wife has chosen an outstanding Christian school where all three children can attend from kindergarten through graduation. Even after the school’s generous tuition assistance, the estimated cost of providing their education through high school is approximately $242,000.

We invite you to become one of the first 250 Founding Donors and help build the future Tyler dreamed of for his children.

The Tyler Preston Memorial Education Fund was created to carry forward that dream. Every donation helps provide Tyler’s children with the education he longed to give them. It is an opportunity to honor his life by investing in the three people he loved most.

Whether your gift is large or small, you become part of Tyler’s legacy. Your generosity will help ensure his children always know how deeply their father loved them—and that a caring community came together to fulfill the promise he could no longer fulfill himself.  All donations will be deposited into a dedicated memorial education account and used solely for educational expenses. Tyler’s mother, Kay Brownell, will oversee the fund to ensure every contribution is used for its intended purpose.

If contributions exceed the educational needs of Tyler’s children, the Fund will expand its mission by supporting young musicians as they pursue their own dreams through education and mentorship—continuing the spirit of generosity, creativity, and encouragement that Tyler shared throughout his life.

On behalf of Tyler’s family, thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support.

Your gift is more than a donation. It is an investment in three young lives, a lasting tribute to a loving father, and a way to ensure that Tyler’s legacy continues for generations to come.

With sincere gratitude,

Kay Brownell
