TLT provides youth eighth-grade and older with many different opportunities to gain real life soft-skills and hands-on experience that employers are looking for. The goal of TLT is to fill in the necessary skill gaps where schools leave off and parents that are otherwise trying to work and run households can not provide, to help make these participants self sufficient and prepared to be successful as they go out into the workforce..
Texas young adults ages High School Juniors, Seniors and students attending a College or University from Collin, Dallas, Denton, Grayson and Tarrant Counties Texas are taking part in a curriculum based, hands-on internship opportunity to gain valuable work experience, explore a career path, develop, and refine skills, gain confidence and build professional relationships.
All career paths can find a valuable opportunity in one of the positions offered, the experience is tailored to the student.
The summer of 2020, with COVID19 impacting everyone, we decided to add our remote TLT- Leading Leaders Intern program to our list of other programs and online library of courses and presentations. Two students were the first to sign up and successfully have moved forward with their careers after their graduation.
The summer of 2021 we recently welcomed twenty-six students to participate remotely. The current students are from TWU, UNT, TCU, UT-Dallas, Collin College, and UT-Arlington. Some are receiving school class credit and experience, the rest are using this opportunity to expand their resumes in order to gain full time employment.
TLT's Unlocking the Future program is filling in where the once available high school school elective courses leave off. Many other students need your help. Having the opportunity to gain self confidence, real hands on experience and real life skills, does so much for a student.
This is where we need your help. Donating any amount to this worthwhile cause, you are giving a student an opportunity to be successful.
Help us change a student's life.
Thank you for your willingness to partner with us and help these young adults achieve self-sufficiency.
