Through Our Lens

Women Empowered To Prosper Resource Center (WE2P), through its Youth in Leadership Program, is proud to join ERand Media LLC in presenting the Through Our Lens youth program. This workshop has been held for fathers who want to share a bonding moment with their sons through photography and a standalone creative arts activity for youth. WE2P, in 2023, wants to share the Through Our Lens program and the talent of our youth with the community. Women Empowered to Prosper has joined Nickelodeon and Change X in taking Through Our Lens to the next level. The Through Our Lens: Kids Empowerment Photography Program for the Nickelodeon Community Fund Atlanta opportunity allows youth to learn photography and express their surroundings through visual art. 

Nickelodeon sees kids as playing an active role in their communities and having hopes, dreams, and goals on how to shape their neighborhoods. Its community fund is dedicated to empowering kids with resources and support to bring to life projects that might otherwise go unfunded in areas such as arts, STEM, and environmental sustainability. Working with a grown-up co-leader, kids will actively lead these projects and have the chance to shape their communities for the better.

WE2P is asking for support to keep this project going beyond the Nickelodeon-funded pilot. Supporting Through Our Lens Youth Photography increases free slots for class availability to be offered to more youth for free throughout 2023. Your donation increases the opportunity for youth to be empowered and participate in photography. Thank you!
