Hi! My name is Lexi and I am 24 years old currently in Texas. I have done a lot of soul searching about what I truly want to do with My life and I want to make a positive impact on the world. I have always been a huge animal lover and I have been able to surround myself with some truly amazing creatures.
I grew up watching Steve Irwin and the first time i touched a snake was on a school field trip, she was a huge yet gentle being and I was the only one in My kindergarten class who wanted to learn about her, everyone else was scared.
Why did I mention a snake? Well that whats this foundation is about, REPTILES!
Over a period of time, I have grown My little animal family to including some scaly friends. I soon realized how therapeutic they can be. As someone who has depression, anxiety, and a few other disabilities, I found that when I interacted with My reptiles, their presence would calm My mind and bring Me peace. My grandmother had cancer and i saw how her dogs helped her through her treatments and i want to bring that same peace to others through reptiles.
Unfortunately, there is still a lot of misinformation about reptiles out there. People fear the unknown. I believe that proper education is essential and can help the environment as well.
The Scale Foundation is about education and therapy through reptile interaction. The climate goal is to have a facility that is not only to have a naturalistic sanctuary for reptiles but also a place where people can come visit and learn.
I truly appreciate the support to help Me achieve this dream and hope to touch many hearts through this mission!
