Vika was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and Dandy-Walker syndrome right after birth. Because of her condition, she did not take her first steps and say her first words in infancy.
Ever since she was born, she struggled with her every breath and movement, and her loving parents had to endure constant resuscitation of their child and fear that her life would be cut short. Due to the psycho-verbal developmental delay and muscle control problem, Vika could not speak, hold things in her hands, or even stand. But with regular, proper treatment, she has shown tremendous progress. She is now able to pronounce new sounds and individual words. Her perseverance and hard work gave her more muscular control, enabling her to move better.
Vika's positive susceptibility to treatment and rapid progress let her doctors give a promising prognosis that her memory and reactions to stimuli can improve, and she can acquire better language skills and enhance her ability to absorb and learn new information. However, her improvement from years of hard work would be haltered without your help. Her progress would be rapidly lost if Vika could no longer receive the necessary treatment.
Can you help Vika to get such needed therapy?
Every donation brings Vika closer to her physical and emotional well-being.
