The STEMite Zone Fair is more than just a science fair—it’s a movement. We are dedicated to creating a culture of innovation, where young minds in Nigeria and across Africa are inspired, equipped, and celebrated for their creativity and problem-solving abilities. This year, we aim to host Africa’s largest science fair yet, bringing together over 1,000 student projects from 100 schools, including both public and private institutions, to compete and collaborate in Lagos, Nigeria.
Our mission is clear: to foster a wave of homegrown innovations from Nigeria and Africa to the rest of the world by 2034. To achieve this, we need your support to raise $60,000, which will directly fund the following:
- Empowering Young Innovators: Your donations will provide the resources students need to design and present groundbreaking projects. This includes funding materials for underserved schools, stipends for dedicated science teachers, and logistics support for participants.
- Expanding Access: We aim to sponsor students from across Nigeria, covering transportation and accommodation for 10 students and their teachers from outside Lagos.
- Celebrating Excellence: The Grand Prize Award winner will receive an all-expense-paid trip to represent Nigeria at the ISEF Regeneron Science Fair in the United States—a life-changing opportunity to showcase African innovation on the global stage.
- Transforming Lives Beyond the Fair: Our top students will be inducted into the SZF Fellowship, a 12-month program where they’ll develop entrepreneurship and leadership skills, work with Canadian mentors of African heritage, and even participate in internships with leading organizations.
