The One Lakh Project
In far-west Nepal, small amounts of support can create real opportunity.
One Lakh is 100,000 Nepali Rupees, or about $700.
That amount can fund one locally driven project - helping turn practical ideas into action.
These are locally driven efforts that just need a small push to move forward.
This year, our goal is simple:
Support 5 projects across Bajura.
We’ve already funded our first One Lakh Project — helping launch a community training and wellness center at an eco farm along the Karnali River.
This image shows construction underway on a community training and wellness center — the first project supported through the One Lakh Project.
Here are examples of the kinds of projects your support helps advance:
- A local guesthouse and coffee shop - small investments that help bring the vision to life
- A young writer working to share his voice beyond Bajura
- Local agriculture and small enterprise initiatives
- School-based support, including supplies and classroom improvements
Every $700 funds one project.
Your donation today helps launch the next one.
