For years, independent pharmacists have faced a lack of action from both
our state legislators and the U.S. Congress, who have continued to "kick the can down the road" and pass up the opportunity to enact meaningful legislation protecting community pharmacies. While we're thrilled to have gained a few key wins during the 2025 Minnesota State legislative session—including establishing a single PBM model for Medicaid patients using a fair reimbursement rate and short-term Directed Pharmacy Payment Program—there's still much work to be done to ensure that independent pharmacy care will remain available to American communities.
There's no time to wait—we're revving up our engines for the biggest race of our life to save independent pharmacy, because #IndependentPharmacySavesLives.
