We believe that we have a social responsibility to help others sustainably manage our outdoor resources. Appropriate training and skills practice equips outdoor guides, trip leaders, rescue and public safety personnel with foundational knowledge to be able to make appropriate decisions in remote settings.
The Landmark Foundation was created to give students and organizations financial support to participate in national certification training through Landmark Learning educational programs.
Our focus is with individuals that are building their experiences and credentials for work in the recreation field. Additionally, the foundation directs its resources to volunteer rescue, fire, and medical services who are seeking job related specialty training.
The Landmark Foundation’s Board of Directors includes medical professionals, teachers, and education administrators. Foundation funding is made possible through alumni giving, annual giving campaigns, and endowments.
