The Future of Kehillat Nashira
All donations matched up to £30,000!
As we celebrate Rabbi Miriam Lorie receiving semicha we have the opportunity to reflect on everything we have achieved as a community over the past ten years. We have built the first UK partnership minyan in the UK and now we have the first Orthodox community led by a female Rabbi. We need your support so we can continue building the future of our community. We are building something which is much bigger than our geographical home in Borehamwood. We are building an example for the world of what an inclusive Orthodox community can look like.
Expanding Rabbi Miriam's Role
We are excited to announce our plans to increase the amount of time Rabbi Miriam spends with Kehillat Nashira. Her leadership has already brought us so far, and with your support, she can continue to guide our community from strength to strength. Meeting our funding goal will mean we can double Rabbi Miriam’s time, growing our Shabbat services, Rabbi Miriam’s teaching capacity, time for answering halachic questions, and scope for pastoral care.
Securing a Permanent Home for Kehillat Nashira
We are making significant strides in finding a permanent home for Kehillat Nashira, right in the heart of our community. This new venue will make our services more accessible and allow us to do so much more:
More Frequent Services
Guaranteed Yom Tov Services
Year-Round Community Events
Space for kids and teens programming
A “bayit” - a home for our community
