I have lived in Anderson for 48 years. I attended Indiana Christian Academy for a number of years and graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1988.
Having a strong sense of compassion for those struggling with mental and behavioral health, I obtained a BS in Psychology from Ball State University, graduating in 1992. I worked for the Center for Mental Health and later for the Madison County Youth Center. Eventually, I chose to stay home to focus on raising and homeschooling my three children.
Over the years, I became a professional photographer, a licensed travel agent, and the caregiver to Larry "The Can Man" Van Ness. More recently, I founded Larry's Legacy. I am also V.P. of the Madison County Women's Republican Club and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
I have three adult children. My family has a military background with my father, oldest son, and daughter all having served. So, I feel strongly about protecting and exercising our rights and freedoms. And, I care about the well-being of our local veterans.
I love Anderson and want to see it grow, improve, and be a safe place to live for generations to come. I will strive to do my very best to serve our community well by doing my part in promoting growth through economic development, improvements in our aging infrastructure, and addressing public safety issues, including crime, homelessness, drug abuse and addiction, and safe housing. These issues are personal goals I have and I intend to get involved in affecting these issues as my duty as a citizen by working with private groups. By being on the city council, I hope to gain better opportunity to affect some of these issues at a local government level.
I am very interested in knowing what issues you, the people of Anderson, think are the most important and what you want to see happen in Anderson. Voting for me is a vote for you. Voting for me is voting in favor of your community. Together we can make a difference!
